In 2013, Subsole became the first agricultural company in Chile to install a photovoltaic plant, marking a milestone in the adoption of renewable energy within the sector.
Since then, the company has implemented solar generation projects at its table grape operations in the Copiapó Valley and at its Isla de Maipo plant, supporting emission reductions and the use of clean energy in its processes.
Additionally, Subsole is in the process of signing, expected in February 2026, a 100% renewable energy supply agreement with Copec Emoac for five of its operations: Hijuelas Plant, Isla de Maipo Plant, Olivar Plant, Agrícola Don Alfonso, and Parronales Tinamou Copiapó.

Since 2016, Subsole in collaboration with the Pontificia Universidad Católica, has actively participated in research and development projects focused on biodiversity and regenerative agriculture. These are two promising paths towards a future where Subsole continues to supply the global marketplace with high quality nutritious fruit, maintaining its focus on protection and care for the planet.
Some of the results of these projects include: nesting sites for the habitat and refuge of endangered endemic birds such as the Tijeral, Chilean Swallow and the Chercán; proposed cover crops for the enrichment and care of the soil; waste management and vermiculture; elaboration of bio inputs and production of native plants, among others.
